To pay the mortgage and finance my other interests (!), I design web sites for small and medium.
Fortunately, as I am relatively successful in this respect I have not had to take on many new customers in the last couple of years. I specialise in guiding Small businesses through the do’s, don’ts and common misconceptions and aim on delivering a return on their investment – ie leads to make them money!
A small selection of my customers are listed on the left hand side – these will be added to in the near future.
I first started web site designing in 1993 using a Word 2.0 web plug in on floppy disk – then in 1996 creating a web site for Chalfont St. Peter hockey club which was one of the first around (Blackheath was the first!). I then moved on to design web sites for a couple of my
employers notably PageOne – which was apparently awarded web site of the week in The Independent soon after I left.
My web design business is called Chalfont Web Design and has around 50 or so clients – around 10 are active at any one time. I have to say I’m very lucky as I absolutely love what I do, constantly learning and adapting, meeting people from all sorts of backgrounds and industries and working with them to help them. I look forward to getting on with my job every day!
