I first picked up a hockey stick properly when I was 24 when I first started to play for Chalfont St Peter hockey club on grass with a lot of pace and no skill.  I’ve played almost every year since give or take an injury or two that has kept me out and now play for the Men’s 3’s at Amersham and Chalfont Hockey Club (Amersham and CSP merged in 2001).

Hockey is a great fun game for all abilities with great social elements within the club and other clubs.  In this respect I really love going on hockey tour and am fortunate to be regularly invited by The Usual suspects for 1 or 2 tours during the summer.

The hockey club is extremely strong with Juniors and club members but could always do with an influx of very strong players at the top of the club to push others down the teams and strengthen them.

If you are looking for a quality hockey player called Andy Watts – have a look at the Reading HC web site – i’m just a bumbling oaf in comparison!!
