The bird table is extremely busy at the moment with the newly fledged birds and some new visitors. I’m having to fill the two feeders up every couple of days and the coconut fat ball disappears in under 24 hours – principally courtesy of a family of starlings which have discovered it. read more

Jamie Loses His First Tooth
Jamie was delighted recently when he had his first wobbly tooth as most of his classmates have already lost one. So today was the day it finally dropped out – not in the middle of an apple but whilst raking some leaves up. He was absolutely delighted – I just hope the tooth fairy remembers…

The Redwings are Back
The Redwings have made their annual winter migration back to our back garden and more specifically on our holly trees and eating the berries. They are a really beautiful bird. Parakeet on the bird feeder!
Just working from home and a larger than normal splash of colour arrived into the garden and onto the bird feeder. There are several very colourful green finches tucking into the sesame seeds and they were disturbed by a much larger parakeet. read more
