Just thinking about doing another Amazon order, but still listening to my last one which consisted of Cream Club Anthems 2012, Best Coast / The Only Place, Paul Weller / Sonic Kicks, Garbage / Not your kind of people, Graham Coxon / A & E, PIL / This is Pil, Hot Chip / In out Heads and The Cult / Choice of Weapon.
They are all rather good but mostly from established artists. Interestingly I was listening to Paul Weller on 6music this afternoon and he was saying there is good music around if you are prepared to search it out- he was admonishing the fact all these old bands are getting back together for big re-unions. I have to concur with his view, I’ve found a number of good bands who’ve released a few things and been loving them. Secondly, caught “Back to the Point”‘s last couple of songs when the family popped into Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich. This one track really surprised me as it was so high energy and just went – bought the CD afterwards – very good – just annoying they are so damn young skilled!
Hoping that I can get the odd mate or two to go along to Kingston and Banquet Records / new slang where there appears to be a whole scene going on, but just too busy all the time…
