With the cold snap and plenty of snow and ice, we have been busy keeping the bird feeder topped up, water defrosted in the bird bath and the bird table full of food.
As a result the garden has been very very busy indeed with wildlife – most of it welcome! I really need to purchase a digital slr – but here is a photo of a Green Woodpecker that visited recently. There are plenty of smaller birds as well – and two foxes were roaming the paddock behind us today – one of them curled up and went to sleep!!
It is surprisingly rewarding bringing the wildlife to the garden and sustaining them.
