New info on Watsy.com
Loads more content added yesterday to the watsy.com web site.  I photographed a lot of my Human League 12 inches - though I'm missing a few of them - no idea where they are.  Also added a partial list of some of my customers.

Race night / white hart

I was with Alison and Zoe last night at the White Hart Chalfont St Peter sorting the race night out.  It looks as though its going to be a great night out at the club.  Zoe took my sheet of runners and riders so not sure how they are going to be distributed - some of my non runners might after all get a run out - though not in the Big Mac Maccoll classic.  The sponsorship money is coming via Buddy .... who is back in the UK after damaging his wrist badly.

Speaking of the White Hart, it was pretty busy last night, with regulars watching the non event that was the 1-1 England vs Portugal football match.

New Virus
There's a new virus hitting my inbox - not read anything about it in the news yet - but this one looks about the same as mydoom.  Its called W32.Netsky.B@mm.  It is mostly being spotted by Norton and Outlook, however, there is a zip version coming through which could fool a lot of people and hence make it a lot bigger.  It comes with the heading Stolen or Something for you (looking through my deleted mail!!).

Digisender - splitting cable tv
Purchased a TV for the wife for the bedroom (as she's very tired with the pregnancy) and thought it would be a good idea to split the cable reception up so that it also went upstairs.  I also thought as I'm a bit technical I might have a clue how to do it - wasted loads of time on it - then thought I had it working (well except for the bit of being able to change the channel from the bedroom) went to show her - and woke her up as the interference was too great.  Nice one Andy...not.

Open Spaces Meeting

Had my second ever open spaces meeting last night at the Parish Council.  Broadly speaking, the committee looks after open spaces such as Commons and has other related responsibilities.  Last night we discussed a:

- new bus shelter on the A413
- infringement of the Layters Green common
- Mill Meadow - someone had got through the gate and driven on the cricket pitch in the snow and also removing an old chain link fence there (?)
- The Youth Shelter on Gold Hill and its measurement criteria
- The leisure centre and impact of current financial crisis
- New footpaths leading on to the play area
- Hay wardens shed
- Timebreaker 2004 on Gold Hill Common

All quite interesting as it happens.  Got me thinking if the school could take over the leisure centre what it could mean for my big idea - and how that would all integrate...maybe.

The Weekend

A very busy weekend and very tiring too.  Finished putting a first coat of paint on the stairs on Friday night (finished at 12.30), hockey on Saturday where we were battered by South Bucks - their passing and movement - especially the first 15 minutes was a different league - watched a hockey DVD training video down at the club which was good.

Sunday morning started putting a second coat of paint on the stairs and my parents and sister / nephew turned up which was great.  Harry was a bit ill - another plane journey - another bug caught!  Dad was saying that he knows the family back to the his grandparents and he'll let me have it, and that he still has cousins in the Grimsby area.  However, we cannot go back any further as they were all farm labourers who couldn't read and write so all x's for signatures - apparently!

Last night stripped a couple of walls - just 3 and a half more rooms to do - should be finished by the time the baby arrives in July ...

Lunch in the white hart

Had lunch in the white hart with Paul from Nonfumo on Wednesday.  It was heaving in there - I had to park down the road as it was so busy. Anyway, had a delicious beef sandwich - wonderfully tasty for £5.50.

Interesting to hear from Paul about his referral business programme he has just launched, that'll be useful for some of my clients I think.

Lunch in the Waggon

Went and had lunch in the Waggon and Horses yesterday - it was absolutely superb - sausages, eggs, chips and beans for £4 - excellent quality and good value.  I think you can only get it though if Simon (landlord) isn't too busy and if he knows you!!  A best kept secret?

He was busy repaining the blackboards yesterday, part of their gradual upgrading - the toilets have now been repainted a look a lot better with apparently the floor to be done sone.  An outside chance is the beer garden (round the back and up the stairs) is to be completely redone in May.  Should be good when that's done.
