Finally

I made it to the gym yesterday evening - Physique in Chalfont St Peter.  And they've put a whole load of new cardio machines in - wonder when they did that.  My lungs and  body felt awful - I was pathetically unfit, the cough i had from the flu still hasn't completely gone and I could tell yesterday, oh dear.  Best go a few more times to build my fitness back up.  So i've schedule some time in May to go....

Had an accounts meeting yesterday evening - the Quickbooks has now been set up with Actinic Ecommerce so that at almost a touch of a button all the sales are imported and the information is allocated to the correct area - bit beyond me at present but it is well under control - ie not me doing it!! lol.

Been digging in the garden this morning clearing away the dandelions!

Did I go to the gym??

Of course not - ended up working until 10.45pm instead - no time for the gym....

Tried securing a d-link network router yesterday evening as well - could i get it to work - don't think so...

Supposed to be cold today, snowing sometime in the next 24 hours - what's that about?

We had a power cut here sometime in the afternoon - about 4 it came back on judging by the clocks - probably the lightening.

Decided to go to my parents for a holiday instead of a mark warner holiday in greece - because of the cost primarily - we've written a list of things we "need" and its quite a lot.

The Waggon effect

Finished my end of month invoices finally yesterday - a boring but necessary process.  Now just need to write my end of month newsletter.

Had a look at Blogger.com yesterday for a customer, think i'll swap it for this web log as it is still getting hit by spam - though its not working as I've taken the comments out but its still all over my log files.  I've always wanted to write a book as well - but was thinking this morning maybe I could do it on a fictional weblog - its about a bloke who joins a hockey club - it won't be based on real life though.

Went to the waggon last night, had four pints, the most I've drunk in about 6 weeks I think.  Discussed with Martin about the holiday so will see if we book it up or not.  We've written a spending list and its staggering to say the least.  The estate agent said to wait two weeks in case the other buyer pulls out - so we still cannot buy anything.

Am I going to go to the gym today - well I said I would - but still overloaded with work to go up there for an hour....should do really though.....

Garden and work

Not much to report on the web front.  Spent much of the day yesterday working on the Micronics search engine optimisation - will be interesting to see what happens to the traffic in a few months (unfortunately there is no overnight formula).  Worked up until 11pm and am now half way through my end of March invoicing.

Also mowed the lawn yesterday evening - I'd looked at the weather forcast and decided the best day to do it was yesterday.  Cannot remember the last day I went to the gym!!

Have loads of photos of Rebecca to put up on the web site - but that is down the list of priorities - a list of work that is rather long.

House

We didn't get it.  We were second (story of my life!!).  So will sit here for a while longer.  Won't have a good excuse to resign from all my voluntary things either now!!!

Washing machine has gone wrong, going to have to buy a new.

Wedding, Hockey, QOS

Went to Richard and Alexandra's wedding.  A very nice service - her Dad took the service (he is a Minister) and then to Deepcut Medical Core Officer's Mess for the reception.  We had curry for the main course - brilliant idea - better than the usual slab of chicken you get!!  Good to see a few old faces as well that I've not seen for a while.  Unfortunately it meant I missed the CSP web site meet in the village - seen the photos and looked brilliant.

Popped down the Garden Club yesterday for some Iron Sulphate (moss killer) and some path clear - took Rebecca down in the push chair as it was such a nice day.  Then met up at 12pm at the club house for our trip down to Croydon to play old midwhigiftions (or something like that) - unfortunately we lost 4-3 - though the crowd at the start were apparently predicting 8-1!! We thought we were the better overall side - though their centre forward was very good.

Then rushed back home and then off to watch Question of Sport being filmed at Shepherd's Bush.  Wasn't bad - though I was knackered by that time.  Glad to be back in bed by 11 - though Rebecca woke up at 12.30 for a while.  Made up for it by staying asleep until 8.30 this morning!!  She is now on the move - and has now learnt to put her arms out for a cuddle - which is extremely heart warming :-)  Have to put the cot down asap in case she gets up and falls out.

A wedding, a jog and two birthdays

Drove up to the Village Hall last night where James and Adam were celebrating their birthdays - a good evening - good turnout as the hockey club took over the back bit again!  Everyone seemed suitably lubricated with alcohol by the time I left.  I've only had two pints in the last month - still don't feel right after the flu.

Speaking of which, didn't have time for the gym so went for a quick run this morning to get my body ready for the cup match tomorrow - however, when I say quick and run, maybe I mean slow and walk - oh dear, the flu has rather battered me physically - at least it is only the semi final tomorrow (!!!!) d'oh.

Going to Richard Lee's wedding today down in Deepcut Surrey - so I'll have to watch my back for any suicidal tendencies I may have.  Will be good to see Rich again - taking Darren Keeping down there.

Ploughed through loads of work again this week, yesterday I completed a whole swathe of updates on British Battles.

Billy Idol - Devil's Playground

I've been listening to this album all week and it is absolutely superb - of course it is going to be completely ignored by the UK - not in Germany maybe not in the US.  However, a total return to form - couple of the tracks even sound a bit like Generation X his punk band.

Also just found the Sex Pistols rarities box set which is not too bad either - other random music I've been listening to includes the new Queens of the Stone Age - not that impressed yet, New Order bootleg 5 CD set, REM document, early Eurythmics most of the Japan back catalogue and a Blancmange album!!
