Phew that was a close call

My PC is taking ages to close down at home - its on its last legs really. So Thursday night i was really tired and thought sod it and just switched it off - what could be the worst thing that could happen...

Switched it back on on Friday evening to do some work and it just kept rebooting and throwing out a whole load of error messages. By this point panic had ensued and wondering when i had last taken a complete back up - recently of course .... Fortunately I remember I have a second hard drive in it which also has windows on it - so rebooted the system from that - and did a tools | scan disk on it and left it running over night.

Fortunately Saturday morning it all worked fine again ... phew....
