Fabulous Weekend
What a fabulous weekend - James and Rebecca had great big smiles on their faces all weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it - you could tell as they went straight to sleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows!
On Friday evening Sarah and I just stayed in as we've not seen much of each other recently! Saturday morning Sarah left earlyish to play hockey in Oxford and got back about 3.30. The nursery where Rebecca and James go had an open day so we went along to that - a bouncy castle, Bobby the pony and loads of activities. It was good to meet the carers rather than the usual handover in the mornings! They were all really friendly and you could see what a good rapport they have with the children - great to see. Here is James playing with some of the Balloons.

Left at 1pm way after I intended, had lunch and then Warren and Zoe came over with Eve and we went blackberry picking with Sarah catching us up when she got back - she won man of the match you know!! The children love picking the blackberries and eating them - all healthy and a good walk - the countryside round the NSE is so beautiful it is great being able to walk round it - so many footpaths on the grounds. Its a shame though we have to walk to cricket field cottages as there is no footpath on that dangerous bit of road. The NSE doesn't keep the back gate open much which would be much safer but they are getting a bit funny about public access on their grounds these days.
Saturday evening I went down the club with Warren and had a splendid evening catching up with loads of people. Sunday woke up with a hangover! Played hockey at the club all day for the Mixed Tournament - R & J loved it as there were all her favourite people down there - Rebecca especially was absolutely shattered when we got home about 4pm - but playing with all the Auntie's (!) she had a fabulous time. Our team also won the tournament - it helped we had a keeper and a chap called A J whose skills were unbelievable - it was great to watch.
