Please Please Me under the hammer
Dad has put the aforementioned record up for auction this afternoon - I believe at Lewis auction house - it is supposed to be on Ebay's Liveaction system - but I cannot find it on there ....
On a completely different note, I actually posted on the CSP Forum the other day - it is going to be quite odd not having the shackles of being a councillor any more - maybe i can do what others do and not bother about basing arguments on facts! I was thinking about the car parking issue again which has raised its head - and whether the high street as we know it is dead. I think that all shops will have to become hybrids of retail and selling via the internet as well.
They should form some sort of collective for local deliveries - eg i'd love the butcher to delivery to us at 6pm, maybe some stationary if I needed it and the Bucks Ad on a thursday... The Village Association could maybe think about that - employing one person centrally to deliver it...maybe. Certainly not the Chamber of Commerce - Dan suggested I register to be a member on-line - still not heard anything. I had previously handed some money over - never received a receipt - and the first I heard of a new chairman was reading it in the paper after some elections - which I wasn't invited to - which was odd as thought I was a member - how useless is that!
Thanks for the note Orbit about the link to the phone via usb and should charge - but I think I read a spec the other day that said it doesn't charge via it - which isn't particularly handy. Also - are you Orbit from orbit web design in Lancs? I put it so people had to be a member before I'd publish a comment - but I cannot currently figure out how to view who a person is... stunning.
I was halfway through putting a blog on one of my customer sites yesterday through blogger.com and realised that I couldn't do it as it had frontpage extensions and Fasthosts disable the ability to publish via FTP if it has FP extensions on it - how annoying is that. Fasthosts do appear to have stopped charging for FP extensions though now...
