Weekend and Open Spaces Meeting
Had a very good weekend with the family. On Friday evening stayed in as we were both rather fatigued after Sarah's first week back at work.
Saturday morning Sarah went and played hockey for the 2's at Wycombe and was back in time for me to play for the 3's (we lost 1-0). It was an odd game - didn't really flow, Leighton Buzzard deserved to win really - though I did score as the umpire blew for a short. The umpiring was probably a feature of the game really - though I wonder if I'm saying that because I'm so slow now and blame things on the umpiring - hopefully not...
Saturday morning we went to the village shopping - Rebecca was such a good girl and did just about everything I asked of her - eg stop at the curb and walk by the side which isn't next to the road. The highlight of the morning though was when a fox came in to the garden again - Rebecca was very impressed - James wasn't that impressed! I did take a photo for the blog - but I cannot find my camera at the moment.
Saturday night we used NTL's on demand for the first time - I have been massively unimpressed with NTL since we moved house in the summer - they are in absolute disarray at the moment from what i can tell and the service we've been receiving - even the synch between sound and vision isn't right at the moment! We watched the Da Vinci Code - which was better than the critics made out but slow to start with.
Sunday morning we went to Windsor 'swmming' again. James is in the middle of teething so he was hot yet shivering so he only last a few minutes - Rebecca loved it again and demanded to take her arm bands off - even though she cannot swim... Sunday afternoon Sarah was out playing hockey, James slept for 3 1/2 hours so Rebecca and I prepared the Roast Pork which was good fun (and delicious!).
Monday evening was the Council open spaces meeting - hardly anything do discuss but somehow it was dragged out until 9.30pm. We talked about the Clock on the common, the Environmental Appraisal group's proposal for the Misbourne in the village and their application for a grant to revitalise it / clean it up and St Peter's Garden. The information items was more interesting as we heard Holy Cross Convent was smashed up over the weekend (was it youth's or property developers?!) anyway the Nun's were fairly shaken apparently as they still live there and the council is having a meeting later this month about something - which I probably cannot mention so won't!! Not until it is released elsewhere anyway.

Are they turning Holycross Convent into a Supercasino?
Perhaps the nuns should consider new jobs as croupiers!
You're not planning trips to American raunches in the near future are you?
