Unlocking Talent

This was launched this morning - my first web site featuring some Flash work by me. I also uploaded a new Grant and Stone web site - though still masses of pages to add to it and things to update more stage one release really.

I've another web site to launch early next week, just sorting out the hosting over this weekend...

BBC NEWS | England | London | Banker found dead in London park

I have only read a bit of this - but I think it is disgraceful the way the UK government has caved in to the US again. The US are refusing to ratify it because of the Irish lobby - so why have we - and it was only supposed to be for terrorists.

Microsoft shuts down Windows 98

Bit of a misleading headline this- as support and critical updates / patches for Windows ME is also being stopped. Saying that - it was a complete dog of a system anyway crashing all the time. Win XP practically never crashes on me.

The weekend

We had an excellent weekend - Friday night we went out to Cafe Fish in Chalfont St Giles - Martin and Otty's birthday - a very pleasant evening with very pleasant company. Food was very tasty too - £40 a head wasn't too bad.

Saturday was very busy - in the morning we popped down to the village, took most of Rebecca's library books back (yes forgot one) and borrowed some more- I used to be a library assistant in Chalfont St Peter from the age of 16 to 20 I think - the last few years a bit of a blur after a night out at Newland Park college - anyway, I digress, you only get 3 weeks to borrow a book now and the library definitely seems to be pretty quiet compared with when I used to work there. They've also got rid of the CDs to borrow, though you have DVDs (not much good) and internet PC's. We also went to the butchers and the opticians.

In the afternoon we went to the Sports Club to watch the first xi cricket being beaten again. Simon Seabrook, Banner and Dan were also there - so we had a good laugh and chat about various things.

Sunday morning was wet, but we went up to Gerrards Cross bridge and looked at the trains. Rebecca's favourite book at the moment is Thomas and Diesel, so it was good to see a couple of diesels. James has noticeable come alive and is kicking, gurgling and smiling loads. It was also his first weekend when he had some forumula milk for one of his meals - he was three months old. We then popped over to see Al and Linda at their new house in CSP.
