Office Plant Displays

Another day, another new web site! This one is a pleasant web site as it has lots of beautiful plants as the subject matter! Office Plant Displays is a Chalfont St Peter based company that provides a choice of rental or purchase plants for offices, retail outlets, showrooms and more.

I've also added a load of new pages to the TES web site - they have also merged with Roch Engineering. They have transformed themselves since I first knew them as a traditional engineering company and do some very varied projects.

Rebecca is 20 months old

Well she was yesterday. I'm not sure I've waxed lyrical enough about how wonderful she is recently. She was full of beans and hyper when I got back home this evening. She is now saying a few more words - strangely enough - mostly related to eating lol - bite and more. She has also started putting a couple of words together as well - more daddy or daddy no. dada means that object over there please give it to me now. She can also eat yogurts on her own now - she's been doing that for a while now. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to the new baby - due next Thurs under 10 days now - well could be up to 20 of course. Here is further evidence she has the Birger cleaning gene in her pool:

Fortunately I'm playing at home this Saturday - apparently there is a bit of a night out including possibly winkers! Not sure i've ever been to winkers sober.... as of course i'll be on driving duty.

My email spam seems to have shot up recently - it was staying steady at 250 a day but now seems to be over the 400 junk emails a day - which is getting a bit stupid really. Thats the trouble with having popular web sites - you get hit with spam - i noticed someone on the chalfontstpeter.com web site complaining about six a day - six - i'd be delighted with that!

Dad is in hospital tonight - a day earlier than planned - there was a spare bed so they drafted him in quickly before it disappeared to someone else - he was told earlier in the day that they might have to postpone his treatement due to the lack of beds - so this is a relief. Fingers and toes are crossed for him and I'll be thinking about it all day of course and the next five weeks - well in between our second baby being born, and work, and selling the house etc etc.

Had a parish council meeting last night - decided to post the most relevant facts on the village web site - at least it started some news threads anyway. The only thing I left off was the Chalfont St Peter Development group are meeting next week - simply because nobody would know what it is - i'm fairly unsure myself - headed by Bryan Sheppee though - I'm still waiting for a receipt for my Chamber of Commerce membership I paid last summer - apparently there was an AGM - which as a paid up member i'm surprised I wasn't invited to.

Chimney Cowls

I've been working at home a lot recently and been enjoying the large numbers of birds that come to the bird table - its even more than it used to be. I was also looking up at roof today and thought one of the chimney cowls was housing some birds - in particular starlings - which is the whole point of it - to keep them out!

Hockey promotion, CSP Forum awards, new car and more!

Been rather busy since I last posted. Work has as normal been flat out on all fronts - launched a new web site at the end of last week - Accessories Lounge - targetting a few designer brand keywords such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Cacharel, Olivia Morris and more. It is the first web site Chris helped me out on. I'm just wondering whether it will work though as it deep links in to the .com site so am wondering if google will think it is a bit dodgy and not rank it - we shall see.

Friday night Martin and I were in the White Hart and met up with a load of people from the CSP forum. An entertaining evening, with some awards handed out to those who had won from the on-line voting. Next year Dan says they will be bigger and better and not open to manipulation!! Sat drinking water until midnight - then poppped over the road for a burger (Martin insisted of course). Didn't think it was up to much to be honest - i'm also pretty sure they've only got a licence until 11pm as well - will check with the Parish Clerk as there is a full council meeting tonight.

Played for the 2's against OMT on Saturday - we won 10-0 - somehow I didn't manage to get on the score sheet - I was being rotated up front though which i really hate. Anyway, we got promotion which is good news - 3's are also up. Will see if the men's 1s and ladies 1s will get promoted next week or whether they'll choke it. Saturday night I was too knackered to go out!!

Also mowed the lawn on Saturday afternoon and Sunday was a beautiful day. Rebecca loved going out in the garden - she probably cannot remember going out last year and was straight out in her pyjamas with her coat on top! Even ate her breakfast (toast) on her scooter outside. I spent a few hours out as well and emptied the greenhouse and spread around the growback contents from last year. Sarah went out with Charlie and bought a new sensible family car - a vectra diesel - so the Corrado is now up for sale. We went and picked it up at mid day today - so another day not spent at CSE...
