Last weekend, this week and next weekend
I thought i was doing a bit better with my blogging recently - but evidently not. So much has been and gone since I last wrote a note! Last weekend was frantic - Saturday Rebecca and I went to the village - first the library for a scan of a few books - Rebecca does enjoy going down there - then to Judd's butchers for some food then back home again. When we got out of the car she is keen to walk - then about 20 yards later she is keen to be carried - most amusing...
Then back home, cooked the lunch - chicken and pasta for my two lovely girls then out to hockey. We lost again this time to Ashford - we lost as we couldn't score again - Sarah turned up and couldn't believe we'd lost as we were all over them - never mind. Then dashed down to Eastbourne for a Roast meal with the family and to bed early! Auntie Joan was there - haven't seen her since we were married. Then went to Harry's birthday party in a fun factory type place next to the sea - then back at lunch time for Eve's birthday in the afternoon - dropped sarah and rebecca off and did some work. Then picked them up, had tea then down the pub with Martin to round the weekend off. I think Rebecca had a great weekend - she is really super cool at the moment (as always lol) she is developing her words more - 'more' being a word now (ginger biscuits tonight it was used) and apparently she is shaking her finger when saying no - er not sure where she might have picked that up from (whoopsie). She still only chews her toothbrush still - she ate loads this evening when I got her back from nursery - wonder if another growth spurt is on the cards!
The family gathered in Eastbourne to open Harry's presents:

Unbelievably we still do not know what the treatment is for Dad yet - it will have been a month by the time he finds out - how absurd is that.
Went to a council meeting on Monday evening - amenities and finance - we left at 10.30 but I couldn't really tell you what we talked about - along the lines of discussing the new ambulance management regions, promoting newer councillors earlier, council staff training and grants to local organisations. The market traders association wish to become recognised by the Parish Council took some time up - the Chamber of Commerce and MT Assoc seem to be at loggerheads which is a real shame for the village. However, it turns out that the Chamber of Commerce aren't affiliated to the national organisation. We have also already given money to the Market Traders Assoc so we've kind of recognised them already - we are unsure what ends they are trying to achieve by having some sort of official nod from us.
I've also been flat out with work (for a change) - done a couple of 14 hour days this week already - and i'm wondering why i've got a headache. Speaking of which, did you know you had to book a blood test now at the Chalfonts hospital - phoned today to make an 'appointment' (used to just turn up in the mornings) and they couldnt' do one until March 6th - which wasn't much use - need to have my white blood cells counted for the drugs i'm taking - so will have to go to Amersham ASAP.
