Microsoft Expression

Found this in my inbox today - quite interesting - will look at it in more detail tomorrow - wondered when Microsoft was going to fill one of the last remaining holes in its product range - the design side of things.

Feeling awful today, neck is very tender (glands swollen) sarah has another cold and plenty of other people do. Dad still hasn't had his consultantion - they are on holiday - I thought he was going in front of a board of people so how one being on holiday is going to affect it i'm not sure. Anyway, it will have been a month by the time he finds out what can be done - which is pretty outrageous really.

Weekend water

Apparently most of the village had no water over the weekend - must have been a real pain for the householders - especially those with young families and the elderly. Fortunately we were ok.

Played hockey on Saturday, we were 4 minutes away from victory when they scored - hardly got in our half either for most of the game - we weren't as clinical in front of goal as we should be - story of the season really. I missed a deflection i would normally expect to get. Apart from that the weekend was very slow as we were all tired. Rebecca was also a bit under the weather as well so no going out on Sunday morning like normal.

Busy week this week - Chris has joined me at work and it is good to be training him and getting loads of work completed. It is only half term though so this week only lol.

NTL trials 100Mb broadband | The Register

Interesting article this - I remember when I first had NTL broadband back in about 2002 and was only 128K! Bit of a jump in performance if this filters on to the streets of the UK. The whole TV, Telephone, Entertainment industries will converge in to one - who will win? Sky probably - biggest potential loser is BT I should think.
