Hospital and Southampton

Popped down to CSE Southampton yesterday afternoon - installed anti-virus on the machine and made sure Windows 2k was up to date with all its service packs. Then went to the pitcher and piano for a lovel meal and then to Southampton vs Crystal Palace. Pretty dull to be honest - Andrew Johnston had left his shooting boots at home - not sure why Dowie is playing Maken - I don't rate him - Morrison and Freedman are my preferred choices - maybe he is trying to put him in the shop window before the end of the January transfer window!!

Went to see Dr Stevens on Tuesday evening - I was last on the list which meant I was over an hour late. Never mind - he gave me a cortesone injection (which meant sitting down was a bit painful for a while lol) and he is putting me on Sulphasalazine - something i have been resisting for about five years - all sorts of potential side affects - will have to have two blood tests each of the first two months to test my white cell count and something else. Hopefully it will sort me out and i can get straight off them again!

Been really busy with work - still working on developing www.csedistributors.com and loads of other smaller projects - small things that need doing but don't take long except of course to dig the files out, find the page work out the amendments then do them. Doing some really interesting things over at Cater For You at the moment. I'll be busy working tomorrow night and probably Saturday night as well - feeling rather tired as well at the moment. Realised my Chalfont Web Design site hasn't been updated for ages.

34 Today

One year away from being able to play in the Vets team - though probably not able to play until September 2007 - the way my legs are going at the moment and not able to run any more it feels like it too.

Rebecca and me in Zoom having a great time:

Had a good day today - took Rebecca off to Zoom in Beaconsfield with Sarah this morning - Rebecca loved it but then her teeth we think started playing up again. Then off to Grandma and Grandpas in the afternoon which is always good fun. Thought I had a council meeting tonight but turns out it is planning and it is next week instead - d'oh. Had a nice meal last night with a few people in the Barawachi then the Waggon & Horses afterwards.

Rebecca is 18 months old

Rebecca is 18 months old already (last Friday to be precise!). Unbelievable how quickly time flies by. She is as you know super cool and such a happy little thing - whilst sarah was doing junior hockey this morning we pootled down to Chalfont St Giles to the pond and fed the ducks some bread. What fun - as you can see from the photo she really enjoyed it. We then went on the swings though I think her hands were too cold by that stage.

Yesterday whilst Sarah was out test driving a new more family orientated car we ran down to the village, popped in to the butcher (for some great bits of meat) and then to the library. We sat there and read a few books (well i did) though mostly Rebecca was just people watching with a big smile on her face. I went and got a DVD for Sat night in with Sarah whilst she emptied the bottom shelves - whoops.

Played hockey in the afternoon - against next to bottom mill hill who beat us 2-1. I was really struggling with my sciatica for the first 10 mintues (thanks to Terry for looking at it on Thurs evening for me to give me the chance to play) or so and I'm not convinced i've lost a couple of yards of pace - not to worry i'm getting older - 34 tomorrow in fact. Will be taking the day 'off' well working from home as loads to do - but hopefully spending some time with Sarah and Rebecca - maybe a trip up to Odds Farm or something else if the weather isn't suitable - maybe Zoom or somewhere - never been there with her. Hopefully also get to have lunch with Sarah somewhere - unfortunately I have a council meeting in the evening so going out for dinner this evening instead. Sarah still isn't well though :-(

Busy week ahead next week as well, out Monday, Tues night training?, Wed night watching Palace vs Southampton in Southampton and Thurs night hopefully going out with my old work friend Chris (who is just the best at I.T. of anyone I've ever met) and his boyfriend in London for a nice meal somewhere. Plenty of work to do as well.
