Last weekend, parish council meeting
Had a brilliant weekend with the family - nothing special just really enjoyable. Friday night went out and had a few sherberts at the Therapies Direct Christmas meal then Saturday spend the day with Rebecca and James enjoying the Christmas tree Sarah had put up earlier in the week. I also started to clear the leaves in to a pile in the garden - during which time I saw a couple of foxes chasing each other not more than a few meters away from me. Saturday night was spent at the Christmas party at the sports club - again very enjoyable.

Sunday was good fun with Rebecca in the garden and helping to clear the leaves up and then we had a visit from a pheasant - obviously not caught by the foxes! In the afternoon we went for a walk around the footpaths at the NSE with Warren / Zoe and Eve. Sunday evening Sarah and I just chilled. Its weekends like that that make me appreciate how lucky i am with my wonderful wife and children and fantastic place to live.
James, the biggest smiler in town, is charging forwards - if he sees something he wants he now crawls quickly to it. He can also pull himself up on the sofa and was definitely taking a step or two closer. He is also babbling a bit more which is funny.

Anyway, Monday night was spent at the Parish Council offices debating not much in particular. I had an interesting chat with one of the councillors though who asked whether I might be interested in standing as a District councillor! I would have to be affiliated to a party then though (Conservatives) and I quite like being independent at the moment. The reason for having to be affiliated is that most voters (me included in the past) just vote for the party. I won't do it though - i can barely justify being a parish councillor let alone district. The chap was also speaking about being an MP - which in addition to being rather far fetched just wouldn't happen as I take things too personally / don't have a thick skin.
Last night was spent at the CSE christmas do at the Chequers Inn at Wooburn Common (photos will appear on their web site later this week I should think - if I get bored with the catalogue I'm putting together for them...
Went to Martin's new flat yesterday afternoon - very nice pad it will be too.
