Local Government Proposals

Haven't had time to read this properly, but I think it was brought up in one of the many review documents we get asked to 'comment' on at meetings. Reading the bit about creating bye laws and fining £80 is something I remember discussing - we said all well and good, but how on earth are we going to enforce it. We can't enforce things like dog fouling or litter dropping without support from local people who get a bee in their bonnet about it - we were told of a story of someone who used to walk his dogs every morning same time same place and let his dog crap all over the pavement - the home owners were so incensed they gathered evidence (I assume photographic!) and the parish or district were able to prosecute.

Google has updated its toolbar recently - there used to be a 'blog this' button on it but it seems to have disappeared which is rather irritating.

Speaking of toolbar, Google seems to have updated its Pagerank on web site recently, my Chalfont Web Design has gone up to 6/10 which is pretty good. A bit worrying is CSE Distributors which doesn't appear to be showing any pagerank - it is number one for most things we want it to be at the moment - so hopefully won't fall out of the rankings on the next reshuffle - though I have a back up plan if that happens so hopefully only causing about a week to 10 days discomfort.

One of my customers is playing at the Greyhound this evening - Robert Sas. Will I actually venture in to the village, or be boring and play snooker instead - although thinking about it - i think there is a league match on so we can't anyway.
