Parish Council AGM
The Parish Council AGM was held last night at the new council offices. It started at 7.30pm and finished at about 9.45pm. The first half an hour was a resume from the three chairman of open spaces, planning and ameneties and finance, then the village appraisal report and finally the chairman of the parish council. It wasn't particularly well attended, about 30 parishioners I would say and half the parish councillors. Then again, i'm not sure how it was promoted either - it wasn't even on the parish council web site (which i er look after!). Following the reports there was an interesting talk from the Chiltern Open Air Museum - though after an hour I was struggling with my cold and clogged up throat - should have taken a drink with me. There were then drinks afterwards - but I was whisked away up to the Village Hall (very kindly by HJ).
Not a lot else happening really - only work and a bit more work. Watched some of the Arsenal final the other day - they were unlucky with some of the decisions - though not the red card really. Playing with 10 against Barcelona is always going to be an uphill struggle. Henry is staying with Arsenal - which is good news for their supporters - though I've always thought he has looked a bit disinterested on the pitch recently - someone at CSE told me Andrew Johnson was lined up to replace him - wonder if he'll still be going there as Bergkamp has retired - and their well used England International Theo Waldcott....
I was told down the pub last night to post more blogs on here as I've been too busy to do it daily recently - hope it isn't putting you off reading it!!
