Matt Cutts: Gadgets, Google, and SEO � SEO Mistakes: Who owns the domain?

This is a brilliant web resource for anyone interested in Search Engine Optimisation - its one of the Google Engineers blogs. This latest piece of news was particularly interesting - a number of my clients have been phoned up by a SEO company who promise to get their web traffic up and number one positions - and this link is a summary of their activities.

Waste of a day

Computer went tits up at about 10am yesterday morning - tried installing a new Hard Drive with Neil to no avail - so wasted his time as well! Eventually managed to get the old one back up and running. Not sure why this is happening - wondering if it is getting too hot.

Did nothing last night - Sarah played hockey for the 3's down in Henley. Charlie kindly looked at Sarah's car last night for the fuel leak - think it is trying to tell us it is time to get rid of it!!

Hockey last night at Herschel

Played hockey for the club xi last night against High Wycombe - we lost by a substantial margin, however, Wycombe didn't put a club xi out! There was one guy in the middle of the park who controlled everything and we couldn't get near him. I've heard most of the club xi games have been like that - which defeats the object really. I had lead in my legs for the first half, then the sun went down and i was fine in the second half - most bizarre. Took a gentle knock on my right hand early in the first half and is still hurting this morning - which isn't very handy for my job!

Been very busy with work - JJP is close to being launched now which is good news. I'll be based at CSE soon so I can do a lot more on their marketing and also help out on Cater For You a lot more.

Rebecca has a lovely black eye this morning - she was building blocks (which is new) and stumbled and went straight on to one of the card edges - big tears for that.

The car had its service yesterday at Priests in Chesham. New brake pads - but not a bad service - though no valet this time - only time it gets washed. They are becoming a Ford dealership. Went on to their web site to find the latest cars and said it hadn't been updated since Jan, but they said there is a new one - so might try and hunt that down. Why people change domains I don't know - just stick with your successful one if you've spent lots of money on it.

I'm sure Rebecca is now saying Daddy and this morning at 6.45 whilst being changed said Daddy, before it was dada and a bit random. Maybe I'm hearing things! Last night she was on super eat mode - she ate two bits of bread with loads of dairylea and two yogurts, this after tea at the nursery. She even had a tantrum when she couldn't get any more yogurt out of the first pot - and then she finished her milk! She woke up from about 12.30 for at least a couple of hours last night - probably hungry!!

Haven't mentioned Crystal Palace yet, probably a reason for that - as West Ham are top - thanks for reminding me Martin - the teams are around 40 places apart now!!

The car is in for a service today at MG Rover Priests of Chesham, only phoned up yesterday - they must be finding it really tough now. Had a quick look inside a 75 - the boot space doesn't seem any larger than the 45. Amazing amount of car for the money though. Wonder if they have a cheap 3.5ltr one going!!

Bought a new phone yesterday, fed up with having problems trying to charge my current one - dodgy connection - so bought another Sony Ericsson so hoping that doesn't have the same fault.

Do you remember the house saga - it came back on the market yesterday - we decided not to pursue it for various reasons such as we've spent our money on this one and I worked out how much it would cost after building works and compared the price with other houses sold on the same road - very handy being able to compare what other houses have sold for!!

Weekend with Ash and Debs

Spent the weekend with Ash and Debs they came down here early Sat morning and left Sun afternoon. Had a couple of meals here and went to black park and a wander round the village. Shame the weather wasn't nicer. Rebecca had a chocolate chip muffin on Sunday - one of the first times she's had chocolate and she seemed very pleased with herself when she discovered it! Popped down the waggon on Sunday night - it used to be empty there on a Sunday evening - not any more!!

Didn't do any work yesterday for various reasons so nothing to update you with there. Did go to fitness training down the club last night - 9 of us doing it - i'm surprised how fit I am!
