Patio Fiasco

Decided to pour concrete in to all the gaps between the patio slabs last - bit of a waste of an hour as sprinkled water on top and it only seems to have had a lasting effect on the actual patio slaps themselves - whoops. The holes seem just as large!

Not a lot else going on at the moment. Looking forward to the weekend with Ash and Debs coming down.

Pizza Express meal

Went to Pizza Express in Beaconsfield last night - had a lovely meal and ate way too much. Many thanks to Sarah's parents for Rebecca sitting for us. I liked what Beaconsfield have done to the Old Town in terms of the parking / pavement layout - looks very smart but also in keeping with the style of the town.

Had a busy day visiting a few clients, didn't have a chance to get much work done though unfortunately - so getting my head down and getting on with it today!!

3 Years Today

Sarah and I have been married three years today. Rebecca celebrated by getting up at 6am. Sarah's mum is very kindly babysitting for us tonight so we can go and have a quick meal and go to sleep at about 9pm!

Played hockey last night for the 2's / badgers XI against Rickmansworth - we won - think someone said it was 3-1 but a good close game played in an excellent spirit. It was supposed to be the last game but they said they are up for a return fixture. Aching this morning!

Did plenty of work yesterday, most of the day was spent on a new updated Jacuzzi section for Grant and Stone, not finished yet, and am out most of today so will finish off later this week.

Received an upgrade email for Macromedia yesterday - delighted with that as haven't even used the one I've only just bought - didn't look like I was entitled to a free upgrade either....

Also spent the day removing loads more caterpillars from the brocolli - now have lots of scratches on my arm where the wire mesh i put round it to protect it has got me! Many thanks to Martin for booking up a holiday for us, Martin and Warren and families in the New Year - looking forward to that already - Wales somewhere!

Here are a couple of photos of our wedding day:

Hockey tonight, Sarah Ill

Quite remarkably, I am the only healthy resident at Hawthorn today - sarah has been sick all night - must have caught it off Rebecca. Fortunately Rebecca was ok to go to nursery today.

Yesterday progressed a couple of new web sites - took me longer than expected. I also selected a bank account for chalfontstpeter.com so hopefully in 3 months by the time they approve it we'll be able to do much more bits and pieces. I was also busy killing caterpillers again on the brocolli plants - they are destined not to survive. Runner beans shouldn't be much longer and the caugettes need picking again - picked another couple of cucumbers yesterday.

Playing hockey tonight against Rickmansworth at Newland Park - also first lot of fitness down at the club tonight. Rickmansworth is a good team to play - strange that they are only a couple of miles away from us but we don't play them in the league as Herts, but we play someone like Enfield who are miles away from us. OMT who are based further away play in our league.

I was still listening to the Buzzcocks yesterday. And Charlie said he would come along to the Billy Idol gig in November.

Sunday wipeout

Rebecca is getting up earlier still - 5.00 yesterday, though I managed to wait until 5.30 before getting out of bed for her. Means I was knackered for the rest of the day - went to sleep from 3.30 to 5.00. Sarah got up this morning about the same time - so her day will be wiped out too! So as a consequence didn't do anything on my list of jobs around the house - though the front wall should be sorted in the near future which is good.

My new hard disk arrived this morning - i now have to work out how to set that to master, the old one to slave and then do a complete reinstall of windows, office and all the other applications I use. That should take about a week! Would do it at the weekend but Ash and Debs are coming down so won't be possible.

Loads of work to do this week - will also try and move chalfontstpeter.com along a bit too - need a bank account - which will be a major hassle - but was chatting with Dan in the White Hart on Saturday night and really need to get it sorted. Neil is also overloaded too so hasn't got time to finish the cleaning up of the business data I inputted.
