Rebecca update (!) and Froogle

Rebecca seemed to be much better today. She was up at 6.20am but seemed to be ok - I've got a great 2 min video of her in the kitchen - full of beans. We went to the Rose and Crown the other side of Chesham this afternoon (Pete and Sandra's new pub - they used to do the bar and catering at the Sports Club) which was very nice had a couple of pints and poor Rebecca did the worst diarhea ever - all down her legs - poor thing. Ran out of baby wipes! So we can back and gave her a bath. Anyway, below is a photo of the pub and us at it.

With my web design work my speciality has always been providing small businesses with a return on investment through my search engine promotion knowledge. Its been an interesting week as I've noticed that the froogle results are finally coming through on the main listings now - I've not much idea how to optimise these results but have got one of my clients in second place from nowhere after spotting this development and was working on Therapies Direct last night to try and achieve the same results. I also did some keyword analysis on the site and hopefully target some more keywords to generate even more business - such as Lafuma Recliner which is currently 49th and Lafuma Chair - which is currently over 60. Hopefully also feature in the Froogle listings.

Having terrible problems with my brocolli plants - this evening they were absolutely covered in caterpillers. Picked five cucumbers though.

Updated the Watts family tree last night - managed to get back even further - on the Henson side this time (1814).

This one pre poo on Annie - a lucky escape for her.... yuk.

Rebecca sick and Billy Idol tickets

Rebecca is poorly - she was sick during the night and she couldn't go to nursery - so looking after her today. though she has gone back to sleep for another two hours as of now. I'll have to make up the hours tonight and over the weekend.

Just bought some Billy Idol tickets - i purchased two - for a whopping £68.70 - how on earth is he going to sell out the Brixton Acadamy at that price. Bit annoyed as I thought I was on a mailing list but first I heard about it was through a different gig mailing list. Now the tricky part is going to be to find someone to go with me - 11th November if you are interested - wonder if Charlie fancies it... By the time you've added train fare and a few beers its quite a few quid. Its not like his star has been burning brightly in the UK recently - even though the latest album Devil's playground is absolutely superb. Still its not every year he turns up and plays in the UK - last time I think was 1993 when I saw him at the Astoria and reformed Generation X for the night - best gig ever that was. Also Steve Stevens will be with him this time - never seen the two together - only with Mark Younger-Smith.

Below is a photo from this week's phoenix game against Ascot which had they have won - they'd have won the league - next week's game will decide it apparently - see the fancy new shirts as well:

Early starts

Rebecca woke up before 5.30 this morning. Took her downstairs and played with her until 7.45 and went back to be until 9.30 ish - the joys of working from home! Picked her up this evening at 5.30 and she was in one of her best moods in a long time - absolutely brilliant and hilarious. She is now walking really quickly and confidently.

Popped down the village early afternoon, went in to Budgens, butchers, banks and forgot the chemist more Calpol! Forgot the library was shut so the 'its my hairy monster' book is now overdue. Heard the Coral bookmakers were held up first thing this morning by a couple of people on a motorbike - bright sparks - lot of money first thing - not - only got about £300 apparently - enough for a couple more 'hits' i suppose. With all the anti-terrorist stuff going on it must be a boon for normal criminals as there isn't the manpower to investigate them.

Did a lot of work today - finally oneandone moved The Percy Bilton Charity over so I could launch that site - it has been ready for about 3 weeks now.

Other than that a fairly quiet day.

Hospital, work and more

Been very busy the last couple of days - though even managed to get my invoicing out on day 1 rather than day 10 or later. Went to the hospital for my annual checkup on my Psoriatic Arthritus yesterday, the usual glad you don't want drugs see you in a year - I'm resisting having drugs at the moment as a. I don't think they'll work and b. I only seem to suffer really bad pain about 3 or 4 times a year now and always during the summer when I'm not playing hockey (though this year I have played a little bit). That reminds me, ought to go to the gym again soon - must be about six weeks - good value that is....

Picked another four cucumbers yesterday, garden is doing pretty well - though spotted the pigeons eating my brocolli plants and spinach yesterday.

Don't think I am going to get a warehouse now, might just work more from CSE - which will be good fun. Just got to work out what equipment I need to be able to work from two locations with two different network setups - will be a pain having to change SMTP addresses each time I wish to send an email. Maybe set up a server here with a laptop - maybe.

Popped in to see Sue Moffat Parish Clerk yesterday afternoon - took a couple of cakes in but she didn't want one - so had to eat both. Caught up on whats been going on but other people kept dropping in. Alan also dropped in as well so updated him with what I've been up to. Also trying to push this CCTV up the village idea, I haven't got time to organise it but I think I might have found someone who has!

Also been liaising with a couple of other sports clubs and keeping them updated on progress (all be it at a bewilderingly slow pace) on what I'm trying to achieve for the local area - basically better facilities and more opportunities as most clubs seem to be operating at beyond capacity - us and chalfont saints for example.

Here is a photo of Rebecca enjoying watching the cricket at the weekend at the sports club (it was rained off shortly afterwards):

Currently listening to The Buzzcocks Operators Manual - Best of - took ages to find something I really wanted to listen to.

Gardening and early starts

Went and picked Geoff and Woody up from the airport at 5.45am on Sat morning. Went back to bed when I got back in but couldn't go back to sleep. My knee was badly swollen and I had a bad cold so could have done with a bit more sleep - though have just had 11 hours last night! Was in the Greyhound on Sat night and could have done without drinking quite as much though felt fine on Sun morning.

Rebecca and Sarah were on fine form over the weekened - Rebecca is scampering around now she can walk - she is very happy most of the time - except when she lands on her face and crys for a short while!! She is definitely becoming vocal - chatting all the time - shame it isn't a language we can understand.

Did plenty of gardening over the weekend - last year was the house - this year it is the garden - cleared one bit of flower bed that I don't think I've ever touched before in 8 years!! Also cleared the second flower bed in the front garden - front and back are starting to look very good.

Week ahead is looking very busy as always - and end of month expenses and invoicing to do.
