Busy weekend

Launched Amersham Insurance yesterday - still waiting to launch another web site but one and one are being very very slow with their transfer of the domain name - hopefully by the end of next weekend now.

Last night did some more work on Turret Engineering - re-launching it in the next week or so hopefully.

Rebecca has a cough at the moment - she sleeps whilst coughing! We went to budgens this morning and coughed our way round - she loved it looking at everyone and everything. She is off to a party at 1pm today then off to another one later in the afternoon (Catherine's 30th birthday) then we are off to a wedding this evening - Sarah's cousin in Burnham.

Tomorrow my parents are coming up as Sarah was coming up anyway to meet up with some of her school friends. I've loads of gardening to do, not sure when I'm going to be able to get it done now. Feeling rather tired as well today - despite the fact I woke up at 9am (Sarah was up at 6.15).

End of the week, beginning of the weekend

Busy day yesterday, but didn't achieve much. Went to my accountant in Caversham yesterday morning - he does a lot of travelling to China - fascinating to hear about their manufacturing over there - pour the iron ore in one end, programme what they want to come out the other end, and giant springs for example come out - with only about 3 people working it. So the cost of labour is incidental - it is the investment in technology and manufacturing processes which is the key - something Trade Unions and Business leaders would never commit to.

Thanks for the Village Hall letting me know about their web site - a marvellous pub for eating and drinking in - they have always been very hospitable when the sports club members have booked a place up their for their birthday and end of season do's. Quite a few have been held up there now.

Here is a photo of Rebecca with her cousin (who she adores!) Olivia.

1st Birthday Party

Rebecca had her family round yesterday afternoon to celebrate her 1st birthday. She had hardly and sleep but was so excited she kept going and going until 7pm - walking around the garden with Olivia was the best for Rebecca! Sarah made a beautiful chocolate cake and lasagna as well.

Not in a great mood this morning - Popeye ate a bird on the living room carpet whilst I was dropping rebecca off this morning. Stupid bloody cat.

Rebecca's First Birthday Today

Rebecca is one year old today - that has flown by! She enjoyed playing with her presents this morning - well the card envelopes!! To celebrate I've uploaded some photos of her and the family from our weekend in Eastbourne. I've still got sunburn from Sunday!!

Played hockey last night a 1's and 2's squad game - good hockey as well and bodes well for the upcoming year as there were quite a few missing but the depth this year looks promising - but i said that last year! I managed to score a couple of goals which was good.

Finished typing in the business from the village guide from a year ago for the chalfontstpeter.com web site, so now Neil is going to clean that up and then we are going to go through and see what needs updating then open it up to the forum to give us some further feedback. I see it as quite a good way to raise money from external (to CSP) companies which will then feedback in to the community (once we've covered our costs). I need to sort out a paypal account which means I'll need a bank account as well!! I've now got a copy of Audrey Wheelbands book a village in photos - and wondering how copyrighted they are!!! I have a few more photos to upload as well at some stage.

Weekend in Eastbourne and Betty's Funeral

Went down to Eastbourne on Saturday afternoon - had a great couple of days down there - just relaxing - mum and dad even did the 6.00 wake up call so we slept in until 9am - superb. I am rather burnt though as sat in their garden yesterday reading a book - I'm sure i was only out there for about an hour - but rather lobster red last night and today.

Went to Betty's funeral at 12 today - only the four of us (original Watts!) and the care home owner stumbled in after a couple of minutes. 89 years old so not too bad.

Was good to see the parents again though, and my sister sarah and husband richard - sarah has about six weeks to go when she'll be adding to her portfolio of children - Harry currently.

Arrived back to find my watsy.com email address has been spoofed again and it had so many bouncebacks it had blocked it - after just three flipping days.
