Well done West Ham

Thank-you Dan Dan for reminding me that we received our £30 million pay off one year before you - well done to West Ham for reaching the Premiership - Martin is still blowing bubbles apparently. Speaking of which, the Michael Jackson trial is coming to a conclusion soon apparently - I haven't watched any of it - and could not draw a conclusion whether he is guilty or not - I just think he is a very sad and lonely individual who has some serious problems. With regards Crystal Palace, apparently AJ has pleaded to be let go and play in the premiership so he can try and stake a claim for the world cup - don't blame him to be honest - hopefully he can just go out on loan to someone else rather than sell him. I know one of my customer's competitors is an avid reader of this web site and he is a Spurs fan - they seem to be the most popular bet for raiding some of our squad....

Still not purchased the concrete for my greenhouse base yet. The greenhouse is currently sitting in the Dining Room - sarah isn't too pleased it is there still - supposed to be litter picking for the Parish Council this Saturday morning and still have masses of work to catch up on - so wondering what is going to give... probably the litter picking as can do that the following weekend.

Yesterday was madness on the phones in the morning - didn't stop ringing. Managed to do some web design work by the afternoon though thankfully and finished at 11.30 last night. Realised at 8pm there was another chamber meeting - which unfortunately I didn't make in the end.

Hockey AGM tonight - Sarah is secretary so I'll be rebecca sitting this evening. Managed to sort out a game for the hockey 2/3's last night with Aylesbury on the 14th June - or at least I hope I have - Gary seemed to think it was probably Ok - going to let me know for sure at the weekend.

Back from holiday in Eastbourne

Back from our holiday in Eastbourne today - from a week away at my parent's house down there. Very relaxing it was as well - they looked after us like royalty! Also came back via Sarah's Auntie Jean this afternoon - never met her before so that was good.

Rebecca is developing so fast at the moment - she is close to walking still - and her sounds are becoming more and more rounded - talking is probably miles off yet but it is becoming more 'recognisable'. It was great being in the 1/2 acre grounds down there as we could run around a lot more freely with Rebecca. Everything is so much more spaced out down there - not like in Chalfont and the surrounding area which is now so tightly crammed in because of the planning restrictions.

Still lots of repurcussions from the Parish Council meeting the other week - the Conservative party has really pissed a lot of people off behaving the way they did. The way I look at it though is they are all easily pensionable so they won't last much longer anyway. Sad indictement of the once great party of the 80's that this mob are who are the public face - no wonder Conservative voters of my age are so disillusioned with the party and politics as a whole. The only conservative below 60 that I know of is a local district councillor and i know he's a complete idiot from my days of working as the Saturday assistant at Chalfont St Peter library.

Interesting that France voted no on Europe. Their country really is in a sad state - they need a Mrs Thatcher for the 2000's if they are going to turn it around - its a shame that Labour is now undoing all her good work of making our economy competitive.
