Rebecca ..... tiring..... never.....

This is quite funny, except at 2am - she is now waking in the middle of the night as she has started to move around her cot and getting stuck in odd positions in the corners and edges. Last night she was crying for a while when we finally got up and moved her back to the middle and she quietened down straight away and fell back to sleep - an amusing stage in her development. I've put some new photos up from bank holiday May which are quite good.

Wait for it..... I managed to get to the gym today - and .... they'd moved the machines around (I think so anyway) - think I could get more out of my membership fee don't you....

Otherwise been a fairly unproductive day - paid bills and sorted out invoicing for a couple of my companies this morning and depositing cheques at the bank and then met a new client this afternoon - looking forward to working on it - CAS.

The garden is teaming with birds today - starlings, collared doves, sparrows, blue and coal tits, magpies, pigeons (grrr), blackbirds and chaffinches.

Shredding the evidence

Busy day today - popped up to London this morning to visit the National Sporting Club to discuss how to move forward with the web site. They had a big event yesterday with Will Greenwood so made good progress considering. It is a really interesting company to work for and the products they have to sell are completely different to anything else I do!

I accidentally caught an earlier fast train in to London so popped in to Virgin megastores to pass some time - I was delighted to find the final Series 2 Yes Prime Minister has been released on DVD. I'm a massive fan, and I'm afraid I watched the whole of it by this evening whilst working on customer projects.

My shredder arrived today. Personal identity fraud is massively on the increase in this country, not helped with the daily bombardment of credit card application forms received through the post.

In addition to a meeting in the afternoon round the corner with a new prospect I also uploaded a new Matki Showers section on the Grant and Stone web site. I really must get round to doing a customer email newsletter - haven't sent one for ages and lots to talk about - all positive.

Still not been to the gym - did honestly mean to go today.... My email in box is no longer scrolling though and my to do list is also down to not scrolling. Submitted a new store to Froogle the other day but not heard anything back from Google - most odd.

Rebecca is being super cool at the moment - she is going to Nursery the middle of June - i'm going to miss her dreadfully. Anyway, she is now properly standing up against things and wandering round the sofa for example - Ash told me this is cruising - though I understand cruising to be a completely different meaning in certain other circles!! Sarah said she was clapping today but I didn't see it - I assume this will happen at 8am on Sat morning when sarah is having a well deserve lie in and I can tell her then. Most odd wandering in to the lounge these days and finding all the sofa cushions all over the fireplace, television / ntl box and coffee table!!

Random Events

Random appears to be the latest word of the day in close circles. That was random. So the last 24 hours appears to have been a little random for me! Last night turned up for hockey vs Aylesbury, we had too many players so went home and did some work instead. The recent upgrade to the sports club pages went very well but the top bar was missing so refigured out how to put it back in - i also updated the fixtures page with last seasons final scores and top scorer stats. Waiting for the summer fixtures so I can update that - also put up the latest sports club minutes and other bits and bobs. I'm also investigating the possibility of putting out a 2/3rd xi hockey team with a focus on some of the younger players being mentored by the more mature players such as myself (mature?!).

Today I was halfway up the M40 when my new customer said they weren't ready so popped in early to CSE - who didn't have much to give me as I hadn't given them enough warning - whoops.

This afternoon I put some more photos up on the chalfont st peter site - though I think I took them too late in the evening and the quality isn't fantastic. I also put up some showers on Grant and Stone.

Feeling rather tired this evening - Rebecca has been waking up in the night the last couple of nights and keeping us both awake.

London Zoo

A very busy and enjoyable weekend. Friday evening I went round to Charlies and put him on the Internet for the first time - remarkable. Unfortunately the Creative Soundcard and Aopen speakers I bought for the machine appear to be incompatible which is a bit dumb.

Saturday I was looking after Rebecca for much of the day which was immensly satisfying. We even had a walk down to the village shops and a quick go on the swings - she really enjoyed that bit. Interesting the debates over disabled access in the village (and of course in the country) and how shopkeepers loose trade etc - I found it dificult enough getting a pushchair through some of the doors - the sports shop in particular as there are two steps then the door to navigate - wonder if it puts people off buying from there.

We did loads of work on the garden between Sarah and I, it is really starting to look amazingly different and better. The greenhouse will hopefully have arrived for the weekend. Bit late I think for my cucumbers and tomatoes this year :-(

Went to the pub last night and there was some great banter - Martin and Otty had been to London Zoo and most of the conversations of the evening seemed to go full circle back to it - most bizarre.

I added a new section to the sports club forum - hopefully it will get the forum even busier - it has slackened off a bit recently. After spending close to £200 on it might as well make it busier!!
