Weekend passing
A most pleasant weekend - went to the cricket dinner on Friday night at the club and very civilised do it was too. Only had a couple of sherberts as was feeling very tired anyway.
Left for Eastbourne early Saturday morning and had a relaxing 24 hours down there with the family - Oliver (my youngest nephew) is certainly bulking out very well indeed. Sorted out our re-mortgage as well which was handy. Also established a whirlpool bath will frighten the life out of Rebecca and not put her in the mood for going to bed in a strange place - whoops. Knees were rather painful on Sunday - so best start playing hockey again ASAP to help their mobility as only just got out of the swelling cycle.... I didn't take any photos at the weekend though - how dull is that!
Busy week ahead - which I guess goes without saying. Supposed to be at a council meeting tomorrow night but not sure I'm going to be able to go along as we don't have a baby sitter yet (sarah is out at a hockey meeting of some sort). Also supposed to be helping out at hockey in Beaconsfield at the same time - so i guess that won't be happening either. The car park money issue is coming up for discussion tonight and I want to be in a minority and vote against it - quite opposed to it now - seems absurd we are subsidising the motorist when there are already loads of other free car parking spaces in the village. I'd prefer the headline "council cuts taxes".
