Google and Sun

This is a follow up post to the one from last week about Open Office - looks like Google is really trying to turn up the heat on Microsoft. It'll be interesting to see how they get on. My guess is they'll grab the home market space first which will then convert in to the office - a bit like Microsoft did with Word V2 vs Wordperfect 5.1 which was in offices but eventually overturned.

This battle will of course take several years and many court appearances no doubt - but fascinating to watch.
