Parish Council Meeting and Hockey
Had a Parish Council meeting on Monday evening - it was over before 9pm. Completely pointless and meant I had skipped half my dinner which was a delicious bit of lamb as otherwise i'd have been late. Absolutely nothing of relevance to anyone was discussed. However, due to the Conservatives forcing their people as vice and chairmans on various committees last night I think Peter is going to make them uncomfortable - he is currently using the waste issue - I've noticed they are making political capital out of it in the papers recently. I actually think it is a good idea and no one I've spoken to of my friends think it is a bad idea either - shame recycling is being used as the political football.
Had an email forwarded from the Parish Clerk with the draft results from Chiltern DC of their appraisal of sports facilities in the area - complete whitewash - so emailed Gill Gowing back with my thoughts (!!) but not heard anything back yet - usually takes CDC at least a few days to think of responses, have a delegated meeting to make sure the response is ok then finally get back with the response.
Played hockey last night - had a good runaround - played centre forward which was a change - although I played the first 8 years of 10 as centre forward. Played Slough mixed and I have to say it was a pleasure - I was slightly nervous of how they'd play but they were great.
Rebecca woke up at about four am coughing last night, then the birds woke up (windows open) then Rebecca woke up at 6.15 so had very little sleep last night.
