The Hit or Miss - Penn Street

We went to this pub / restaurant on 29th June 2004 as it had just the week before won the Chiltern District Council's best pub award.  After wondering if we were lost when trying to find out, we were impressed with first impressions when we came across it in the village of Penn Street - a beautiful village / hamlet tucked away near Beaconsfield.

We had a curried chicken strips and a Duck Breast with Mango as main courses.  They were absolutely delicious.  The menu was varied at the top end of prices we'd visited but no more expensive than the White Hart Chalfont St Giles for example (which was runner up I believe and is about the same quality of food).

Well worth a visit.
